Our ABA Process

What to Expect with Behaviour Management

Take a look at our positive behaviour approach to supporting young people with Autism, learning difficulties & other special needs.

We begin our support by undertaking an Initial Comprehensive Assessment of your child’s current development.

This assessment is conducted through an online questionnaire and with your input, reviewing important data which we will ask you to collect. This is routinely combined with a face-to-face observation at home and nursery which lasts approximately 2 – 3 hours each.

Initial Report

Following this, a detailed report will be provided with your child’s individualised program which will outline targets and strategies to teach skill deficit in accordance with the assessment. It takes approximately 14-21 days from the start of the process to receive the full report and detailed program guide.

How long will it take?

What to expect from ABA specialist

ABA Therapy (Applied Behaviour Analysis) can take between 6 to 30 hours per week.

Each session is a minimum of 3 hours.

Our team of ABA Therapists provide sessions during particular time slots which are usually:

09:00 – 12:00
12:00 – 15:00
15:00 – 18:00

Half Day

09:00 – 13:30
13:00 – 17:00

Our full days are from 09:00 – 15:00, dependent on each child’s needs.

We also offer evening or Saturday sessions (depending on the Therapists’ availability).

*Please note that time slots can be moved if necessary in advance on special occasions.

Research shows that the more hours a child has with ABA, the better the prognosis. We employ Master level and Senior level tutors who can support you.

We teach skills and behaviours that are important for the individual’s well-being – as well as their families and caregivers.

We emphasise the use of proactive and positive behaviour strategies to prevent challenging behaviour.

We avoid reactive strategies that often do not teach individuals how to get their needs met and can have a negative impact on the child.

Our individual training programs focus on positive behaviour support strategies which increase caregivers’ confidence in helping the child and improving the relationship.
